Paul is a 2004 Telly Award winner for acting and producing. He has performed as a series regular on ABC’s The Edge of Night, NBC’s Another World, and Days of Our Lives, as well as the cable drama Another Life. His ‘day time’ television credits represent major performances in over 450 television episodes.
Paul has also guest starred on such popular television series as The Gary Shandling Show, Magnum P.I., Hunter, New Love American Style and Battlestar Galactica. He starred in a major recurring role on Knots Landing. In addition, he has starred in over 150 national commercials and industrial films.
In features, Paul has worked on numerous films including working with director Garry Marshall in Overboard, Frankie & Johnny and Exit to Eden. Garry then worked for Paul in the independent film The Long Ride Home distributed by Lionsgate Films.
After relocating to Los Angeles from New York, Paul pursued producing as well as performing. He produced a number of original theatrical projects written by his wife, Vaughn Taylor. The two of them formed Rising Start Entertainment, LLC to produce the feature film The Long Ride Home starring Randy Travis, Eric Roberts and Ernest Borgnine.
Paul was a founding member of The Actor’s Co-Op theater company in Hollywood and was instrumental in creating Inter-Mission, a fellowship of Christian professionals in the Entertainment industry.
Paul and Vaughn relocated to San Antonio, Texas with the intent of creating an arts, theatrical and movie production company to serve the ‘heartland’ of America by providing it with product that is representative of their moral and ethical values. This ‘third coast’ entity, SouthCoast Theatre and Film, is a source for media product as an alternative to ‘West Coast’ and ‘East Coast’ products.
Paul’s values combined with his broad base of experience, ideally suits him to guide SouthCoast Theatre and Film to become a mini-major supplier of “Heartland” Projects. SouthCoast’s initial development was through investment and its continuing growth will be through the SouthCoast Hero Program and revenue generated by the distribution of projects created by the company.
