Kid’s Acting introduces acting techniques to our littlest performers. There are several options from which to choose:
Kids Introduction to Acting for Theatre and Musical Theatre-Have a dramatic, or overly dramatic, youngster? This is the perfect class to help them transition from playtime where they have control over what they do to learning how to take direction and work with scripted material. Lots of fun while they start to develop acting skills.
TV Kids-Students begin to develop an awareness of what is required to work in front of the camera. Terminology, camera technique and creating the truth of the moment the character experiences are the primary focus for the class.
Theater Tykes (8 wk Sessions)-Theater games, skits and exercises keep this class moving quickly so the little ones stay busy through the class. Lots of fun while the kids learn some of the beginning skills required in acting.
Broadway Prep Junior-Musical Theater performance requires skill in Voice, Acting and Dance. This foundational class for young performers includes training in all the disciplines required for younger performers to compete for roles in musicals.
Introduction to Kids Acting (ages 7-10 under 7 by interview)-Young performers begin to work in a true acting workshop situation. This class if focused on beginning to understand character and making the specific choices required by the script instead of just using your personality.
Youth Theatre-Saturday Youth Theatre is by audition and the program produces a full length play at the end of each semester. High energy plays that are a laugh a minute! A 1 minute memorized monologue is performed during the audition.
